UPDATES

EDIT: Yeah... I updated... I decided to do something a bit different yet again, but this actually turned out pretty clean and simple (Utada style... DEERRR). I ended up inking in flash, cause the paint brush in photoshop is making me want to gouge my eyes out with my stylus. I wish photoshop just had an inking tool like flash, but was still pressure sensitive. I'm probably missing something, cause I'm still learning about this software, but still... That would make it so much less time-consuming! But whatever. Point is to get the story out of my head, and get it good enough to fully realize the vision... But I was really aiming for coloring last weeks comic too. I must apologize. Things have simply been unfathomably chaotic in terms of getting into art school. I should be finishing my application tomorrow. There are many things which are challenging here, not including my artwork (which I have been improving for weeks), so Wish Meh Luck! D:!!!!!!! Yep... I'm still updating today. Might be uploaded like, this evening though. I usually stay up all Thursday night to chisel out the rest of the comic, but this week, as you may be able to tell, had just been insane. Art school stuff is just driving me insane, and I've been working really hard on things like the portfolio and outlining my essay and talking to admissions. I'm pretty new to stuff involving amounts of money that are more than a good car, and how to get the government to lessen this, cause you're "Special".



... Oh.. I wonder if the college people will see this blog. Well... If so... Then, "Hello!!! Don't click on the contact button! It is NOT DONE YET DX. Please feel free to go through my comics! EDIT: Well... I feel really terrible now. I was able to get the actual pencil up for last weeks comic, but I'm afraid if I don't get any sleep before all the stuff I need done tomorrow, I'll get sick. So instead, a promise I will keep (unless my family goes batshits, batbombs insane again)... Next week I will do a double update to make up for it. I need it anyway. The reason why this week was so clogged was family nonsense again, and me being in a panic to try to get into art school. The financial aid thing is turning out to be quite the annoyance to me, and there are so many delays. I have a plan, a longshot, but still a worthy plan. I have been reworking my portfolio completely with observational work, and organizing a beast of an essay which I plan on lauching via Trebuchet all the way to SCAD in Georgia. So Caffeinaliens plotline took one for the team I guess... Which sucks cause the poor thing has done so way too many times.

Not to worry though. I stayed sane from Z-day, which was an amazing success. 200 Zombies stormed the streets of Providence covered in fake blood and attacked cars, and Starbucks. I myself got fake blood all over some guys Escalade with like 10 others. Nothing brightens a day more than taking someone's bad choice and drooling blood all over it. NOTHING.

Shown here are the portraits of all the zombies. Everyone who was involved got a snapshot after blood was dumped over their heads. Great idea. Props to the Barron guy who started all of this.

But basically, my friend showed me around Providence and I got to meet her dorm-mates. They were pretty much wonderful people. Props also go out to whoever brought the limes and fried the Plantaines at 3 am. Its motivated me much more to get out to art school even more. Staying here is no longer an option anymore. NO. Just... NO. There was also some party over at Brown... Which was huge and just dying down when I arrived. I must say, I had an enlightening time, and shoutouts go to everyone I got to know over that short time. I'm definitely taking the train up again one of these days when time permits.

But I really hope all of you understand the delays. Its either been complete family chaos which has been ruining everything, or a panic for my future and peace of mind, or Monday where I had to be sleepless cause of writing my friends memorial for Connecticon. I've had enough of producing sub-par art for what I'm capable of just because of stupid fights or the smothering cloud that people call the Connecticut Shoreline. So, like I said, I will update big time next week, and fill you in on how I'm advancing with my portfolio work. Some of the things I'm drawing are going to be from the zombie picts, so I'll definitely post them...

Yeah... I'm a shmuck... I know. So basically, I only recently got my computer up and running again, like TODAY, so no comic right now. However, I am going to be going to Z-day tomorrow. This is basically why I need sleep, cause I will get sick if I go running around Providence with fake blood on and 2 hours of sleep. Why however? Cause I'm definitely going to make something about THAT when I get back from it. What is Z-day you ask? Its when hundreds of RISD students dress up as zombies and run around Providence looking for meat! The storyline, if all goes well, should pick up again next week. I'm really sorry for the delays. That incident with my family was just too crushing. My concentration is still a bit gone... I was gonna make something different for today, but ended up stuck in the car until I got back home exhausted.




Most of the said exhaustion comes from a panic to get into art school. There have been like 50 delays cause of stupid, nit-picking things which weren't even my fault, and its been stressing me out to the point of no return. I definitely know that I will completely lose my mind if I am stuck stagnant in Connecticut for another year, so I'm currently trying for SCAD, and a couple of others. Paier is where I am going now for a drawing course, but I'm looking for something with more of an animation program and department for this Falls semester. Wish me luck I guess?





So... I'll definitely have some interesting stories from Z-day.

So... You're all wondering why this is flipped, penciled, and uncolored...




Well... I have no scanner and photoshop. I had to remove that stuff from my house so my family's insane brawl wouldn't break it (that computer and tablet and scanner are my life. Wacom has me on a leash) And I'm currently living elsewhere in CT. Why? Its a long story I'd rather not say cause I'm getting carpel tunnel probably. I'm not a healthy thing, rather a fragile little elf thing which has slight balance, which, if disturbed, will implode upon itself and die.





So basically I'm continuing the plot further, and if you can make it out, this shows Wehs' friend finding out, to their shock and disbelief, that he has obtained a drivers license. Knowing that his friend is a completely hopeless weirdo, the character knows something is wrong, and leaves in a hurry. The character is most likely going to be called Knights.



Regardless... I deeply apologize for the lack of a full color comic this week! It really annoys me, and I wish I could have seen the last few days coming and prevented them from happening so I wouldn't have this kind of a useless delay again. I'm currently catching up on Heroes, and its kind of the only thing to do here except mope and draw, and I really wish I could bend time and space. Hiros fucking awesome.



If you know me on facebook, and actually want to read the entire story of why things suck, read the note I wrote. Its not a pity party, but I did get angry writing it, and am sick of typing to everyone and retelling the story over a hundred times. Thought I'd say over nine thousand didn't you?! NOT THIS TIME DUMMY!

Hello all. The comic for this week is a guest comic for Kilika of Blue and Blond.



Out of all the webcomic artists I've met these past couple of years, he is probably the most easy going out of the bunch. We got to hang out in Artists Alley at AB this year again, which is becoming a very fun tradition. I always enjoy talking about what he already knows about animation with him. His comic is about two surfers from New Jersey. Currently in his comic, they were just competing at the Japan Oceandome. Them being from NJ, I had to be a jerk-why? CAUSE ITS FUN! :D
Dubra, if you didn't know, is a local phenomenon imported from New Jersey. It is the cheapest-drinkable-fucking-Vodka attainable, and is a key ingredient in the infamous concoction the bunch I hang out with makes... Dubraid. Kool Aid plus Dubra creates an intoxicating drink which probably should be quarantined for biohazard. I don't drink it, cause I'd like a more exotic way to become one of the X-men. But anyway...



I also do think I forgot to mention Andi, who is hella cool, and does a comic called Easy Skankin. Its basically about the adventures of a girl who likes to swear, and mess with people.



So I'll be working on my own comic today, and working on that con report I said I'd do... Heh. But yeah. Had to say another thing. The two comics with the different characters are done by Jay. They are not in the same universe, but crossovers may happen eventually. He will basically be submitting new content whenever he wants, cause he's quite busy. So the update schedule for now is, Updated Fridays by me, and updated whenever by Jay.

3 FOR THE PRICE OF NONE!



So yeah. I decided that for the relaunch I'd do a triple update this week, and further explore my new idea for a style at the same time. I continued the plotline, which if you didn't know, is called FDA Hostage, in which the main character with brown spiky hair, holds an FDA guy hostage to put a good energy drink back on the market. The FDA guy turns out to be a sleeper assassin. Why, you may ask? Well... Stay tuned. More shall be revealed, and surely my style will stop sucking so much when I can have Illustrator and Photoshop harmonize better. I did no vectors for these, and actually did old skool, just micron inking. I've been messing around with the "Make" function on Illustrator. My eventual goal is to have it smooth out the lines I make manually so coloring it in is more easy, and I can keep my lineart style that I use in my sketchpads.




Anyway. I have yet to find out from Portconmaine yet about the guest spot, so my toes are still crossed! I do have a hotel room confirmed, so I will very likely be there! As for Otakon, it is also possible. I'm trying to get into that clusterfuck of an Artists Alley as well this year! Other than that... Just the same old stuff. Classes I'm taking every Monday, and pure insanity the likes of which you probably won't imagine... I am... GONE!!!!



But yeah. I said I'd post a con report, and its coming, don't worry. Unfortunately I must now go to sleep, for I am very sick and it is almost 4 in the morning. So, after reading the comics, check this stuff out too for fun. This stuff won so hard this week, I almost couldn't breathe laughing at it! I love you South Park...
